Ear Candy: The Only Earring Edit You Need

EAR CANDY

Model wearing massive baroque statement earrings dripping with amber stones, pearls, and ornate silver detailing against a dark background — the definition of earrings as the main event.

Earrings might be the coolest, easiest way to change an entire look — and often the least expensive. Unless you're shopping my Dreamy collection. More on that in a moment.

Earrings frame the face. They draw attention, complete a look, set a tone. Playful. Serious. Powerful. Bold. A classic hoop can elevate a white t-shirt and jeans into an actual outfit. Ignoring your ears is simply not an option. And the best part? One size fits all — always.

OMG Dreamy

Antique-style gold drop earrings with intricate architectural detailing, turquoise stone accents, and a large brushed gold sphere drop — the kind of piece that becomes an instant heirloom.You said: the hero start image is this one:
I genuinely loved building this category. Yes, some of these have a serious price tag. But these are pieces that become instant heirlooms — things you'll reach for on repeat, dressed up and dressed down. I'm obsessed with a statement earring with a casual look. If you need to do the cost-per-wear math, do it. If the math isn't mathing (a few of these for me, honestly), use them as inspiration. No shame.

Cuffs & Huggies

Close-up of an ear styled with stacked colorful enamel ear cuffs in shades of green and small blue huggies, showing how to layer multiple pieces for a playful, modern ear look.

Underrated — especially for those of us over 50. And yet, this is exactly the category we need to try. Ear cuffs and huggies add edge, show personality, and play beautifully with the classics you already own. Try a pink sapphire huggie with a classic gold stud, a cropped blazer, and baggy trousers. That's a whole mood.

Dangles & Drops

Woman with hair in a loose bun wearing dramatic oversized floral drop earrings with rhinestones and pearl details, paired with a gray blazer.

These are your gateway to the Dreamy category — consider yourself warned. Big dangles with a beautiful dress and sandals is peak summer. But my favorite move? Long shorts, pointy flats, a crop tank, an oversized shirt, and statement earrings. Takes a menswear vibe and makes it completely feminine. A great color pop never hurts either.

Hoops

Haven't worn earrings in a while? Start here. There are so many sizes, I promise one will work for you — and they go with absolutely everything. Fair warning: this is where the earring obsession begins.

Studs

Who doesn't remember their first pair? I've curated some genuinely fun options — ladybugs, flowers, even a paw print. Wear what makes you happy. Then feel free to layer a huggie, a cuff, or a hoop alongside. These work solo or stacked — both are excellent decisions.

I'll be honest — I was a bangles and rings person for most of my life. Earrings were an afterthought. Then a few years ago something shifted, and I turned two gold link necklaces into dangle earrings on a whim. The feeling, the movement, the sound — I was hooked. From there: vintage finds, a pair of ultra-thin hand-hammered gold hoops, turquoise drops... and now I'm always on the hunt.

Why? Because as I get older, I want drama. I want color. I want something happening near my face. My fashion wishlist right now is very long on earrings — and I have zero regrets.

Happy shopping.
